OLAM Ambassador Committee

Grow Your Skills, Expand Your Network, Make an Impact!

Step into a leadership role within the OLAM network!

As an Ambassador, you’ll serve as a bridge between OLAM staff and other members — welcoming new members, cultivating engagement, expanding our global community — all while making a tangible impact and connecting with peers worldwide!

Are you a good fit?

We’re looking for members who are ready to take an active role in growing OLAM and supporting other members. Ideal candidates:

  • Have been in OLAM's network for at least one year and are committed to renewing their membership
  • Bring strong communication and relational skills
  • Have connections to other networks or communities
  • Demonstrate commitment to OLAM’s mission and values

Why Become an OLAM Ambassador?

Being an Ambassador is more than a title. It’s a chance to grow personally and professionally, and to help OLAM thrive:

  • Deepen your engagement in OLAM and its global network
  • Develop skills in leadership and facilitation
  • Build lasting connections with peers around the world
  • Gain recognition for your contributions on OLAM's channels
  • Receive a highly subsidized registration rate for our Focal Point conference

What You'll do as an Ambassador:

Ambassadors commit to a one-year term, beginning in January 2026, with the opportunity to reapply. The program is designed to make it easy to contribute without overwhelming your schedule. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Guide new or less-engaged members: Meet 3–5 individuals (virtually or in-person) to provide useful information, support, and connection (expenses for in-person meetings will be reimbursed)
  • Recruit new members: Bring 2–3 people from your personal or professional networks into OLAM
  • Encourage program participation: Follow up with members via email about key offerings, including Focal Point, Global Networking Meetups, and local events
  • Share your experience: Inspire Jewish practitioners to become OLAM members by highlighting the value of membership at 1–2 OLAM events
  • Stay connected: Participate in check-ins with OLAM staff and fellow Ambassadors every 2 months
  • Support outreach online (optional): Share about OLAM programs on social media

Ambassadors will receive a 3-hour virtual training in January and will receive guidance from OLAM staff throughout the year.
