The OLAM in Motion subsidy offers staff members of OLAM partner organizations up to $1,500/year and OLAM individual members up to $500/year to initiate a partnership with another OLAM partner organization or member and/or to learn from their work.

The subsidy can be used to purchase an economy flight or train ticket to visit projects related to new collaboration and learning, or other expenses for activities that advance collaborative work (to be approved on a case-by-case basis). We strongly recommend you purchase a refundable ticket. OLAM in Motion will not cover any cancellation fees, nor will it reimburse the cost of unused, non-refundable tickets if your travel is canceled.

Where can you go? Wherever the collaboration is taking place!

Please note:

1. The subsidy will cover in-person engagement only when it is critical to further the learning or collaboration.
   ‍The goal of the trip should be something that cannot be accomplished through virtual meetings.
2. The learning or collaboration must have a defined goal, which should be clearly explained in the proposal.
   The visit should be tied to a specific objective that is in service of a larger programmatic or strategic goal.
3. The subsidy does not cover ongoing or expanded work within existing partnerships.
   It cannot be used for maintenance, oversight, or adding new components to collaborations that are already established between OLAM partner organizations and/or individual members.

Each partner involved in the collaboration may apply for a subsidy to use for the same collaboration.
